Yogini’s Choice is a collection of inspiring and thought-provoking items on a variety of topics sourced from around the web and world, published Sundays.

This week’s Yogini’s Choice is all about the travel items that have made my life on the road possible, bearable, and liveable over the last three weeks.

*Lush solid shampoo, conditioner and massage bar
Fight the TSA’s 3-ounce rule with solid cosmetics. Besides, solids last much longer than liquids, and are much more eco-friendly.

*TranquiliT ultra-versatile bamboo clothing
I wore the 2-in-1 long sleeve top with a boatneck for a conference presentation, and just turned it around to the scoopneck side for a party.

*iPod
I use a little old second-generation shuffle. It’s teeny, clips to my jacket, and holds just enough podcasts and running music to keep me going for several days at a time.

*Kashmiri pashmina
Do yourself a favor and invest in a legitimate cashmere wrap/scarf/blanket/pillow/coverup/shawl/accessory/etc. that is light, warm, colorful, and utterly versatile. Works everywhere from cold planes to black-tie balls.

*Spillproof vacuum infuser mug and tea
Never leave home without a travel mug that you can depend on not to spill in your bag, and your favorite tea (or coffee) to wake you up in the morning or wind you down at night.

*Notebook and pen
For those moments on the plane when you can’t have your iPod on, when you need to write out your frustrations, scribble down some notes, sketch your surroundings, make a packing list…
